چکیده
The aim of this case report is to point out the neurological signs, long term management and MRI lesions suggestive cerebral haemorrhage in a dog with IMHA concurrent thrombocytopenia. A 3.5-year-old intact female Cocker Spaniel was examined for anorexia, weakness, exercise intolerance two collapse episodes. Based on diagnostic procedures primary immune mediated hemolytic anaemia severe thrombocytopenia were confirmed. remained stable prednisolone fluid therapy 6 weeks. later referred emergency service hemianopia, head tilt epilepsy-like signs. Brain showed central line deviation, oedema haemorrhage. Post-treatment also provided clear evidence resolution asymptomatic months after splenectomy. To best our knowledge, first fully documented

Multiple splenic infarctions in a dog with immune-mediated hemolytic anemia: therapeutic implications
Background: Splenic infarction (SI) is a rare clinical entity seldom encountered in veterinary medicine. Its most frequent causes include thromboembolic status, splenomegaly, and cardiac disease. Although thrombotic elements from the circulation provide the most common context for thromboembolic SIs, immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA) has not been reported as an underlying...
متن کاملConcurrent Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome and Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia: a case report
Background: Atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS) is a life-threatening and scarce disorder characterized by acute renal failure and disease, non-immune microangiopathic hemolytic anemia and thrombocytopenia, leading to end-stage renal failure or death, and consequently maybe accompanying by extra renal manifestations. Case report: We reported aHUS accompanied by autoimmune hemolytic anemi...
متن کاملLeptospirosis and immune-mediated hemolytic anemia: A lethal association
Immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA) is a common cause of anemia in dogs. The immune aggression towards erythrocytes can be triggered by many pathological conditions such as infection, inflammatory disease or neoplasia. Upon ruling out any eliciting conditions, a diagnosis of the primary immune-mediated disease can be made. In this particular case of severe anemia (tested positive for circul...

A five year old male spitz weighing 15kg was brought with a complaint of blood mixed urine and emesis since 2 days. Detailed clinical examination was conducted and samples were collected. Faecal sample did not reveal ova of any parasite. Wet film and blood smear examinations were negative. Hematology revealed decrease in RBC count (2.9 millions/cumm), hemoglobin (5.3g/dl), VPRC (16%) and platel...
متن کاملAutoimmune Hemolytic Anemia in a Patient with Probable Ataxia Telangiectasia: A Case Report
Background: Ataxia telangiectasia (AT) is one of the combined immunodeficiency syndromes with immunologic, neurologic, endocrinologic, hepatic and cutaneous abnormalities. Regarding the fact that autoimmune disorders; such as autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA), are not generally expected in the course of AT, we present a patient with an unusual presentation of these two conditions. Case present...
